Shalamar is a living piece of history and a one of a kind treasure. Designed by Philip Rhodes, built in 1941, her lines are in the Mystic Seaport Museum.
Your day begins on the still and clear south side waters as you are met onshore by Captain Sebastian who ferries you out to climb aboard the 47 foot beauty. Once aboard and settled into her roomy and comfortable cockpit, you will be offered an ice cold beverage. Whether a tropical rum punch, chilled white wine or a local beer, your day begins in comfort.
As you sail away from shore, the 60 ft sail is hoisted and as it fills with the gentle trade winds, the view of the unspoiled shoreline is revealed.
You will have have a chance to stand at her wheel and guide her through the waves, stand up in the bowsprit and watch for our friendly dolphin pod, whales, tortugas and even manatees; or stretch out on her decks and soak in the sun.
After a sail through through the changing colors of the changing depths, you are taken to a peaceful cove where you can enjoy a leisure swim in the warm turquoise waters or enjoy a snorkel along the shore, lounge on comfortable cushions or just float with a noodle and a beer in hand. Everything is provided for you from towels to water toys, sunblock and water. Bring your favorite tunes and we can play your personal sound track to your sailing adventure.
A fresh lunch is prepared in the galley to be served when you re-join the crew on board. A tropical menu accompanied by a glass of wine or ice cold beer is best enjoyed while drip drying on board the beautiful yacht.
